feedback on cell phones and driving
More than 40 states are considering legislation that
would permit drivers to talk on their cell phones only
if they use a hands-6.00 headset.

Make safety your top priority!
"By requiring drivers to put down their cell phones
and pay attention to the road, this new law will help
make our roads safer and save lives."
- Gov. George Pataki, New York
Promote Safe Driving! Don't Talk While
Driving or Get a Hands Free headset now, before it
becomes a law in your state.
According to USA Today , NY legislation
will require drivers to not directly be holding a cell
phone or they will receive a 100 dollar ticket after Dec
1 of 2001. This raises a lot of legal questions (ie what
about truckers' radios, government intervention etc).
But it does appear that a few other states may follow
suit as well on this. Because there is a question of
danger to others and not just oneself this seems to be a
bit different than the seat belt legislation but it's
still very controversial. To learn more about Hands Free

Media is completely responsible for a
common misconception regarding cell phone safety, "that
by moving the cell phone away from the brain, users
eliminate harmful exposure to EMF and any resulting
health risk". SIMPLY NOT TRUE! FACTS ARE: A cell phone
user wearing a cell phone on their belt or in a
pocket to reduce exposure to the brain is only
increasing exposure to the torso and reproductive organs
when not using a properly rf shielded cell phone
handset, not to mention using an unshielded Hands Free
headset is no different than sticking the antenna in
your ear!
Demand To Be Safe!
If you represent a cellular store or
carrier, you have an obligation to provide safety for
your customers. Stop pushing UNSHIELDED Hands Free Kits
for radiation safety and remove information from your
web pages/advertising claiming rf safety immediately!
YOU'RE PUTTING PEOPLE AT GREATER RISK!! Education In RF
Safety Must Be Provided!! The World Health Organization
saw headsets as a threat a long time ago and despite
this because of media like 20/20 who journalistically
misleads 100’s of millions of people by not researching
what they’re reporting to be safer, is no reason to
jeopardize the safety of your customers! It’s time to
evaluate your corporate missions "People Before
Profits"! Cell phones, like most things that have risk,
can be safer with education in cell phone safety & RF
Safe Approved Safety Technologies!
Using your cell in the car is not only a
hazard of not paying attention to the road. Tests, we at
RF Safe have done, conclude None of the cell phone
protection products do much good when using a cell phone
in a metal enclosed vehicle! YOU MUST USE AN EXTERNAL
MOUNT ANTENNA,. You Must Send & Receive The RF Energy
OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE! The metal that surrounds you
acts as a faraday cage and concentrating reflector, like
a Microwave Oven, not letting the microwaves escape, and
then concentrating them into your body at an intensity
of approximately 10-50 V/m. If you use a newer digital
cell phone it may operate at 2.4GHz, the same frequency
of microwaves that the oven in your home works on. If
you don’t believe me, go look at the back of your
microwave oven. Our research has now shown that use of
the mobile phone inside a car, without a properly
mounted car antenna, can amplify and increase the
radiation levels by up to ten times (x 10) in side the
car! That means everyone in the car is exposed to
hazardous cell phone radiation, even your babies! For
God sake think less of yourself and more for our
children's futures. RF Exposure can
kill babies,
distort the minds of young children and
shorten the life expectancy of otherwise healthy
people.
Remember when using your cell phone, especially
when driving ....
"Cell Phone Safety Is
Your Most Important Call!!"
#2
Driving while using a cell phone
This is by far the most immediate hazard to both the
cellphone user and everyone in their immediate vicinity.
You must consider the consequences and the lives that
are in your hands when you choose to take your mind off
the road! In today's fast paced/high tech world all too
many people have forgotten that driving is a huge
responsibility and is responsible for way too many
deaths! Simply because you hold the keys to not only
your life but the lives and futures of others as well.
The most important aspect to remember is that it's
not only your live endanger anymore, distractions in the
wrong place, at the wrong time, have proven deadly time
and time again. We urge you to please limit calls
to emergencies when driving. If a cell phone is going to
be activated inside a car, truck or motor home,
pre-driving precautions must be taken and "Unless It's A
Convertible the required
metal enclosure usage accessories must be used
also"!
If you expect calls or plan to make
calls while driving
"PLEASE" prepare yourself before you leave!
A: Connect The Externally Mounted Hard Wire
Antenna, centering the antenna on the roof of your
vehicle for optimum performance and safety!
B: Connect Your RF Shielded Hands Free
Headset or Wireless Headset.
C: Add the phone numbers you will be calling to
speed dial or voice recognition calling.
D: Place the cell phone within arms reach of you!
E: Make a simple promise to yourself for the
safety of others! If your conversation gets you overly
excited, angry or just requires a lot of your attention
while driving, this includes having to take notes or
directions. "PLEASE" PULL OVER & PARK IN SAFE
PLACE! There is simply too much at risk "Life"! No-one
ever thinks it will happen to them, but it's only a
split second mistake that kills innocent people that can
happen to anyone driving in a risky situation.
Promise yourself you will NOT use your cell phone while
driving in risky situations!
