Open Letter: It’s Time to Protect the American People from Wireless Radiation Risks
Dear President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris,
Don’t you know that both of you have had loved ones die from cancers linked to radiofrequency radiation (RFR) exposure? Are you aware that under your leadership, the National Toxicology Program (NTP) wireless radiation research on cancer was defunded, with critical resources diverted to fund wars instead of protecting the health of the American people?
The courts have already ordered an update to the outdated FCC safety guidelines, but nothing has been done. Even more troubling, the NTP research was halted when it was uncovering evidence of cancer risks tied to wireless radiation. These decisions are putting countless lives at risk, and more people will die—just like Vice President Harris’ mother, Shyamala Gopalan, who passed away from colon cancer, and President Biden’s son, Beau Biden, who died of a brain tumor potentially linked to RFR exposure.
The science is clear: current safety guidelines do not account for the non-thermal biological effects of RFR, leaving the public vulnerable to health risks. Thousands of studies demonstrate that exposure to wireless radiation has dangerous effects beyond what is currently acknowledged, including cancer, oxidative stress, and DNA damage.
By failing to update these guidelines and ending the NTP research, you are allowing this silent threat to persist. The increase in early-onset colorectal cancer, particularly in younger adults, is one alarming example of a possible link to the growing use of mobile devices and their proximity to the body. Dr. De-Kun Li’s recent study, which shows a strong correlation between cell phone carrying habits and colorectal cancer, highlights the urgency of addressing these risks.
We urge you to act now. Update the FCC guidelines based on current scientific data. Restart the NTP cancer research to protect the health of every American. We cannot afford to ignore the evidence any longer—lives depend on it.
For the sake of the millions of Americans at risk, including those who have already lost loved ones to RFR-related cancers, it’s time to take immediate action.
