It’s Time to Replace Industry-Made Safety Standards with Real Medical Protections
To the American people, the MAGA and MAHA movements have always stood for putting America first—restoring our freedoms, our sovereignty, and our health. But there is one glaring failure from the past that continues to threaten the health of our children and families: the 1996 Telecommunications Act and the unconstitutional Section 704 that came with it.
This law doesn’t just violate your constitutional rights. It actively protects unscientific, industry-created safety standards while forcing dangerous cell towers into neighborhoods, schools, and playgrounds. Worse, the FCC’s safety guidelines—the so-called SAR limits—are nothing more than an outdated, industry-engineered standard that ignores modern science, was created without doctors, and has failed to protect the American people for nearly 30 years.
If we’re going to Make America Healthy Again, it’s time to demand action:
- Repeal Section 704 of the 1996 Telecommunications Act.
- Replace the FCC’s industry-made SAR guidelines with medically backed safety standards.
- Mandate a minimum of 1,500 feet between cell towers and schools, neighborhoods, and playgrounds.
- Accelerate the shift to space-based solutions, like Elon Musk’s satellite-to-cell technology, to eliminate the need for towers near residential areas.
This is about freedom, science, and health. It’s time for Americans to rise up, demand accountability, and fight for a future where our children are safe, our communities are protected, and our elected leaders work for the people—not the telecom industry.
Why Section 704 Is Unconstitutional and Dangerous
Signed into law in 1996 by President Bill Clinton, Section 704 of the Telecommunications Act prohibits local governments from rejecting cell towers based on health concerns. Think about that: it is illegal to raise health concerns in public hearings or court cases, no matter how much credible scientific evidence exists.
This unconstitutional law:
- Silences parents and communities: You can’t even question a cell tower placed next to a school or playground if it complies with outdated FCC guidelines.
- Strips local governments of their rights: States and cities are forced to approve cell towers, even when they pose health risks.
- Locks in outdated safety standards: Section 704 enforces FCC guidelines that were never created by doctors or independent scientists.
“Section 704 violates the First and Tenth Amendments. It silences Americans while protecting corporate profits. This is not freedom. This is madness.”
The FCC’s SAR Guidelines: A Safety Standard Without Science
At the heart of this issue are the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) guidelines, which dictate how much RF radiation is considered “safe.” But these so-called safety standards were created by industry engineers, not doctors or medical professionals.
Key Flaws in SAR Guidelines
- No Medical Input
SAR guidelines were based on 1950s and 60s thermal-only studies focused on preventing tissue heating—not long-term health risks like cancer or neurological harm. - Non-Thermal Effects Ignored
SAR assumes harm only occurs if radiation heats tissue. This ignores thousands of studies showing non-thermal effects, including:- DNA damage
- Oxidative stress
- Disrupted brain development
- Unrealistic Testing
SAR testing doesn’t reflect how people actually use devices. Phones are tested at a distance from the body, but in reality, people carry phones in their pockets or hold them directly against their heads. - Outdated and Dangerous
SAR guidelines haven’t been updated in nearly 30 years, despite mounting evidence of their inadequacy. The National Toxicology Program (NTP) and Ramazzini Institute both found clear evidence of cancer at radiation levels deemed “safe” under these guidelines.
The Health Crisis: Protecting Our Children
The failure of Section 704 and SAR guidelines has real-world consequences, especially for children, who are more vulnerable to RF radiation due to their thinner skulls, developing brains, and longer cumulative exposure.
Key Research Findings
- National Toxicology Program (NTP)
- Found clear evidence of cancer and DNA damage from RF radiation.
- Showed a non-linear dose response, meaning lower power levels caused more harm than higher levels—a direct refutation of SAR.
- BioInitiative Report
- Analyzing over 1,800 studies, the report recommends keeping cell towers at least 1,500 feet from schools, playgrounds, and neighborhoods.
- Yale Mouse Study
- Pregnant mice exposed to cellphone radiation gave birth to offspring with hyperactivity and memory deficits, mirroring ADHD symptoms.
The Space-Based Solution
The good news is that new technologies like Elon Musk’s satellite-to-cell system provide an alternative to cell towers. This space-based solution could:
- Eliminate the need for cell towers near schools and residential areas.
- Reduce radiation exposure by centralizing emissions to satellites, far from human populations.
- Align with medically backed safety standards by minimizing ground-level RF radiation.
Once we replace the FCC’s outdated SAR guidelines with real medical protections, it will become clear that we must fast-track the deployment of space-based solutions to safeguard public health.
How We Make America Healthy Again
If you believe in freedom and science, this is your fight. Here’s how we can win:
- Demand Repeal of Section 704
- Call and email your elected officials. Tell them Section 704 violates the Constitution and puts corporate profits above public health.
- Push for Real Safety Guidelines
- Replace the industry-engineered SAR limits with medically backed standards that account for non-thermal effects and real-world exposure.
- Protect Schools and Neighborhoods
- Mandate a minimum distance of 1,500 feet between cell towers and schools, neighborhoods, and playgrounds.
- Support Space-Based Solutions
- Advocate for the rapid deployment of satellite-to-cell technology to reduce reliance on ground-based towers.
- Spread the Word
- Share this article. Talk to your neighbors. Build momentum in the Make America Great Again and Make America Healthy Again movements to demand action from President Trump and Congress.
Let’s Fix What 1996 Broke
President Trump, you have the power to fix what the 1996 Telecommunications Act broke. Section 704 is unconstitutional. SAR guidelines are unscientific. And the health and safety of American children have been compromised for far too long.
Repeal Section 704. Replace SAR guidelines. Mandate safe distances for cell towers. Accelerate space-based solutions.
Let’s Make America Healthy Again by putting people—not corporations—first.
For our children. For our freedom. For the future.
