Surprising Link Between Cell Phone Radiation and Inflammatory Diseases

The scientists from the Department of Urology, Haydarpasa Numune Training and Research Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey sought answers to understand the health implications arising from technological developments that provide a lot of conveniences in our lives.  This issue is one of the risks that arise along with these conveniences.  In this study researchers demonstrated that electromagnetic waves from cell phones have a severe inflammatory effect on bladder tissue, with reason to believe other organ tissues are affected as well.

Introduction:

The widespread use of smartphones has led to growing concerns over the potential health risks associated with exposure to radiofrequency (RF) radiation. With the increasing number of people who are becoming sensitive to RF radiation, it is essential to understand the impact of electromagnetic waves from cell phones on human health. In this article, we will discuss the negative impact of intensive mobile phone use on bladder tissue and the reasons to believe that other organ tissues are affected as well.

Understanding the Health Implications of Technological Developments:

With the rapid growth of technology, there are many conveniences that we enjoy in our daily lives. However, these conveniences come with several risks that we need to be aware of. One of these risks is the impact of electromagnetic waves from cell phones on human health. The researchers from the Department of Urology, Haydarpasa Numune Training and Research Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey, sought answers to understand the health implications of these technological developments.

Methodology:

The study was conducted on 21 adult male albino rats that were divided into three equal groups. Group 1 was exposed to electromagnetic waves for 8 hours per day for 20 days, and their bladders were taken off immediately. Group 2 was first exposed to electromagnetic waves for 8 hours per day for 20 days and then another 20 days without exposure to electromagnetic waves, and their bladders were taken off. Group 3 was the control group and was not exposed to electromagnetic waves.

Results:

Under microscopic examination of bladder tissue, severe inflammatory cell infiltration was seen in the lamina propria and muscle layer in the first group, in contrast to intact urothelium. In the second group, mild inflammatory cell infiltration was seen in the lamina propria and muscle layer. The mean scores for the three groups were 5.5 ± 2.5, 0.8 ± 1.3, and 1.2 ± 1.5, respectively. The mean score of group 1 was statistically higher than others (p = 0.001).

Diseases and Their Relationship with Inflammation:

There are several diseases that have a close relationship with inflammation. Inflammation is a complex biological response of vascular tissues as a result of harmful man-made stimuli, such as stressed or damaged cells from exposure to microwave radiation produced by cell phones. Diseases and Their Relationship with Inflammation

Inflammation is a complex biological response of vascular tissues to harmful stimuli, including exposure to radiofrequency radiation from cell phones. Chronic inflammation can contribute to a range of diseases and health conditions, including allergies, Alzheimer’s, anemia, ankylosing spondylitis, asthma, autism, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, congestive heart failure, eczema, fibromyalgia, fibrosis, gallbladder disease, GERD, Guillain-Barre, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, heart attack, kidney failure, lupus, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, pancreatitis, psoriasis, polymyalgia rheumatica, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, stroke, and surgical complications.

Allergies are caused by immune-mediated inflammation in response to sensitivities to various substances. Alzheimer’s is a disease in which chronic inflammation destroys brain cells. Anemia is caused by inflammatory cytokines that attack erythropoietin production. Ankylosing spondylitis is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines induce autoimmune reactions against joint surfaces. Asthma is characterized by inflammatory cytokines that induce autoimmune reactions against the airway lining. Autism is believed to be caused by inflammatory cytokines that induce autoimmune reactions in the brain, which can arrest right hemisphere development. Arthritis is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines destroy joint cartilage and synovial fluid. Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by chronic inflammation that results in excessive muscle tension, shortening tendons in the forearm and wrist, and compressing nerves. Celiac and Crohn’s diseases are both caused by chronic, immune-mediated inflammation that damages the intestinal lining. Congestive heart failure is a condition in which chronic inflammation contributes to heart muscle wasting. Eczema is caused by chronic inflammation of the gut and liver with poor detoxification, often with antibodies against transglutaminase-3. Fibromyalgia is a condition characterized by inflamed connective tissue, often related to food allergies, and exacerbated by secondary nutritional and neurological imbalances. Fibrosis is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines attack traumatized tissue. Gallbladder disease is caused by inflammation of the bile duct or excess cholesterol produced in response to gut inflammation. GERD is characterized by inflammation of the esophagus and digestive tract, nearly always food sensitivity and pH-driven. Guillain-Barre is an autoimmune attack of the nervous system, often triggered by an autoimmune response to external stressors such as vaccinations. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is an autoimmune reaction originating in the gut, triggered by antibodies against thyroid enzymes and proteins. Heart attack is a condition in which chronic inflammation contributes to coronary atherosclerosis. Kidney failure is caused by inflammatory cytokines that restrict circulation and damage nephrons and tubules in the kidneys. Lupus is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines induce an autoimmune attack against connective tissue. Multiple sclerosis is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines induce autoimmune reactions against myelin. Neuropathy is caused by inflammatory cytokines that induce autoimmune reactions against myelin, vascular, and connective tissues that irritate nerves. Pancreatitis is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines induce pancreatic cell injury. Psoriasis is characterized by chronic inflammation of the gut and liver with poor detoxification. Polymyalgia rheumatica is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines induce autoimmune reactions against muscles and connective tissue. Rheumatoid arthritis is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines induce autoimmune reactions against joints. Scleroderma is a condition in which inflammatory cytokines induce an autoimmune attack against connective tissue.
