Heart Rate Cell Phone Radiation Risk

In this video, we’ll be looking at how the use of cell phones is being associated with changes in the Heart Rate.

Is it possible that the electromagnetic fields generated by cell phones may have an influence on the autonomic nervous system, which modulates the function of the circulatory system?

The assessment of heart rate variability is one of the most popular methods for evaluating involuntary modulations of the heart. Increasing evidence has suggested that the electromagnetic fields emitted by cell phones interact with the human organism because they represent a potential source of electromagnetic interference.

This means that the cardiovascular system may be a potential target for these electromagnetic fields.

In a report filed on the U.S. National Laboratory of Medicine website, a study was done comprised of 251 consecutive volunteers who underwent 24-h ambulatory ECG monitoring for the purposes of the study.

These volunteers consisted of volunteers from the hospital staff, healthy friends and relatives of the hospital staff, and healthy volunteers who went to the blood bank unit of the hospital for blood donation. All the participants were healthy, and none of them were receiving any pharmacological treatment.

The study concluded that a long-term duration of cell phone use may influence heart rate variability as well as change the autonomic balance in favor of an increased sympathetic tone, which raises blood pressure and enhances tone in smooth muscles, which may cause hypertension.

If you would like to examine the report for yourself, I have included a link to it below. Many more informative links are available in the report itself.
